This is a beautiful store, with a wonderful history (here for 30 years), and one-of-a-kind, handmade textiles from all over the country. Nothing else like it in Budapest. The store owner is lovely as well (thank you for the fascinating conversation!).Highly recommend coming here.

On my first trip to Budapest, I was hoping to bring home some authentic bohemian embroidery - but was shocked by how difficult it was to find something that wasn’t mass produced in a Chinese factory. Sher Textile was a breath of fresh air. The shop owner has an absolutely gorgeous collection of one-of-a-kind pieces from regions all over Hungary, and generously explained to me the history of each piece in her shop. She encouraged me to really explore the unique stitching and patterns / fabrics to find the perfect piece, and the things I ended up selecting feel like true treasures. By far the best place to find Embroidered textile products in the city!
