Great location and the food/drinks are quite okey. Inside looks really nice. The issue starts with the staff. There were 3 waitresses/staff plus one outside. 99% of the time all of them were doing nothing. Occasionally 1 of them did something but they were all arrogant. Eventually we walked to them and pay but they seemed annoyed that they had to do something… pretty annoying

Szamos cafe is a cozy and charming cake cafe with an inviting ambiance. The selection of cakes is divine, with flavors ranging from classic to unique. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the enjoyable experience. Highly recommend for a sweet treat and relaxing atmosphere.

Absolutely fantastic café! Right in the heart of pest, walking distance from the parliament and extremely friendly service (that also speak English). It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon trying the local cakes, we had dobos torte, esterhazy cake and kremes. All three delicious! They made a great coffee too. I have already recommended this cafe to friends that are visiting soon and will be back next year for another visit so will definitely come again!

A személyzet hozzáállállása enyhén szólva sem megfelelő.Az 5 fős társaságunkból páran fagyizni, páran pedig sütizni szerettek volna. Az ott dolgozó hölgyek viszont közölték, hogy fagyizni nem lehet bent, sütizni viszont csak bent lehet.Kérdeztük, hogy akkor milyen megoldást javasolnak, ugyanis a terasz (ahol mindkettőt lehetne fogyasztani) foglalt.A hölgy udvariatlan vállrántása és egy “hát akkor ez van, fagyizni nem lehet bent” mondat után elköszöntünk és kijöttünk.Nagyon hiányoltuk a kompromisszumos megoldáskeresést.Általában a szamos termékek finomak, de az árakat elnézve, a kiszolgálás is lehetne udvariasabb.

Great place to eat, whether for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. Service is excellent, coffee is good and the cakes make you want to just have more. Need to restrict your intake or you could spend all day getting larger on the pastries.I was impressed when they refused to serve me the only croissant they had on display because it was old and wouldn't taste nice".They have tables outside and an ice-cream bar but it is worth going in for the old Budapest atmosphere and decor.Szamos is definitely one of my go to eateries in the city."

Dessert and Coffee with a group of friends. We looked at the Dessert case to make our selections. Everything looked amazing. English menus were available. We had some difficulty ordering as our server did not seem to understand our selections. Service was slow, but eventually successful. Relax, enjoy the surroundings and know the end result of your persistence will be delicious.
