First of all, the service. Amazing. I asked the server whether the pasta is better or the meatballs. He recommended the meatballs without any doubt. The server was very helpful, polite and kind. He helped us through our doubts about what we should order. Food? Absolutely amazing. If you're in the area, just go. Don't have any doubts:) Everything is marvelous.

This is the number one place in Budapest visit if you want to have a local experience. They have local cuisine, their menu is simple, but great. The service is outstanding. I highly recommend taking their menu, which is goulash, a second, this such as duck, cabbage, and ewe cheese, and some local desserts. They have live music and serve local alcohol, which makes every dinner outstanding. This is a true gem in the city center.

If there is one place to go when visiting Budapest come here!!Having never tried Hungarian food, I was honestly blown away, the best food I had on this trip, delicious and fresh, thanks to the staff for the lovely recommendations.I’d say go here rather than the main restaurant, you get the same delicious food, great service and super cosy atmosphere.Definitely recommend, will be back again :)

Delicious traditional Hungarian cuisine and very friendly service! We had a wonderful dinner here during our weekend in Budapest. We originally planned to go to the Retek restaurant around the corner but it was full but was told this Retek Mini restaurant has the same menu and a table available. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere. Our 2 year old son was happy listening to the live piano and enjoying the atmosphere.We had a really nice experience and would definitely like to come again.

Ambiente muito aconchegante, comida muito saborosa em porções bem servidas. O garçom é simplesmente a simpatia em pessoa, adorei a experiência. Havia um pianista tocando música ao vivo, o que torna a experiência mais legal ainda.

Undoubtedly the best service and food we had in Budapest. Goulash was great, the slowly roasted duck leg was even better. They serve a small shot of Palinka at the end of your dinner. Service was perfect and everyone was very attentive. There was even live piano music, which added to the great experience. It was also air-conditioned, which I found quite rarely around Budapest.
